Actually no there is not much difference in both, they are queries to find info from tables or databases.

@Sadegh: If you understand the basic of SQL and are able to integrate it fluently, PL is just an additional luxery version that incorporates some extra features, but if you understand SQL, there is not much you could not do. Good luck my friend.

Oracle is on PL/SQL, has some difference. it's more advanced.
