Why would you follow someone? Is it a random or specific chosen selection?

I wonder why the majority of my dear Folowers are from Asia and Afrika more or less from India/Pakistan etc? I am honored with the interest, but ask myself why? Could you please tell me why you are following me, I am very interested to get an answer on how I attract someone's interest😆😆😆 And please don't forget to like this question...

I however have two reasons why I follow people. 1. If I think I could learn a thing or two from them, so for my own benefit. 2. My second reason would be, if I could be of any help for that particular person in his/her development of becoming a programmer or just to give them some moral support to continue in their endavour they have started after enrolling in SoloLearn. Sometimes you see a person start with full energy, but it gets depleted after a few mishaps or just a lack of mental support.

Still i've no idea why people follow me. Generally i follow someone if they are active users for long time or good challengers/coders. :) (or anime fan...................)

Avatar is not really a matter for me when it comes to following others around here. I follow people who follows me asap, and if i find anything wrong with them i just simply unfollow them. And i don't follow people who only follow me, because i really don't have any idea why are they just simply following me !

I usually follow people that have followed me, those with regular activity, high level, lots of posts or codes, who answered my questions etc... and yes, avatar matters sometimes))

I follow them, because I like them, because we connected at some point or because they are cool.... if I can learn from someone but they are snobs(not friendly) , I won't follow them, but be checking their profile from time to time.

@Annie, thank you for the complement, but my guideline in life is simply Live and let live. So if you like to receive you should be considering to return something too.

people following others doesn't seem to be a crime, as the intent would be to get answers to questions if you had a level of experience or gotten to a certain level in solo learn with some amazing codes to your credit... For me, irrespective of where you from, with no cognisance of your avatar, and amazing /inspiring codes written by you, I will follow you. However, this do not stop me from following those who joined yesterday and has proven to be outstanding the next few days.... It's good to have followers because when you post a code they get to see and encourage you.
