In which language is IOS written?

I want to start coding, next to Android, IOS Apps.

iOS was based on Darwin (an open source Unix OS) which is a variant of BSD and NeXTSTEP these both are written in C and objective c..
so I can say that iOS is also written in C, objective C and some portion in assembly language..
and iOS has never been written in Swift..
Swift has been released in 2014 and iOS in 2000

I'm not an Apple developer, but I think they use Swift and Objective-C mostly. Hope that helps. With Android, you can't really go wrong with Java.
