The worst that could happen is that your code will run a little bit slower. But I can guarantee that it will not hang because "the computer is too slow" at 2.2GHz. If it hangs, it's most likely something to do with the code, not the computer :) Keep in mind that Java runs on a multitude of devices, including phones, embedded devices, and even smartcards - all of them a LOT less powerful than the Celeron you mentioned.
