I would like to design a school website where students can register, login and print their results and do other things....
Please anyone with an idea or advice on how to go about it?

Just install XAMPP or WAMP. You would get PHP and Mysql run on local machine for testing.

For actual site, you would need a web hosting that supports PHP and Mysql.
