They are free. I am not sure if that will change. The SQL course covers the basics.

Most of what you need to learn are provided.

More advanced things such as SQL functions are not as they are tied heavily to the DB engine, this tutorial is mainly SQL itself and MySQL which is one of the most common DB engines for websites (MariaDB is a drop in replacement for MySQL)
