Yes, you will get xps even if you lose only for few times but only if your winning percentage is very lower than opponent winning percentage. So after winning few challenges you will not get xps when you lose.

When you lose you won't get xps for result but you will get xps for your answers.

For draws you won't get xp all time. You will get xp for draws for few days, then nothing. I don't get xp for draw or lose now ( only for HTML).

If you are bad in a language and your opponent is at a high enough level, the answers bonus will kick in and you'll get XP for losing.
