Why don't we learn else if??

I was learning the learn JS by sololearn and i came across the elsd if statement. In learn c++ sololearn dont talk about that so i search it up and yes the else if statement is in c++, BUT WHY ISN'T IT TAUGHT???

there's actually no "else if". it's just combination of "else" and "if".
