its the only main mark up language that most of developer use if not all.
it is easy to learn and you will find usefull for everyday life.

It is a must have skill for all web dev. It IS every web page. I am not sure how to explain that farther lol. I primarily use python but still learned html because at times you might script something that has to be attached to a webpage. It just is a must I guess is the best answer I can give.
