How does one start to make a website?

What steps are essential to be followed while making a website... Like choosing the topic it's use,making content, uploading website. Etc.

First of all you chose the coding language that is between XML and HTML My preference is to XML as it has huge functionality then you chose the Header or the Topic as on the Topic decides the kind of photos and Body to be displayed As if you make a Shipping website you have to name it then write Prices on items and there photos as well you have to earn a bank card to get money transferred... . Then you decide to body and Its main part as you have to select specific ific language and modified images to give a great interface to the user. After that a footer where you write contact details or have a short conclusion on your showing method or you guarantee on the product.

sketch your pages. draw on paper or in a program like gimp or Photoshop what your page should look like. have a color scheme and stick to it. graphics like icons should look alike. choose a design according to your content (colorful websites don't fit layers, dark pages aren't good for kindergartens).
keep in mind that some visitors can't read small fonts, so when you scale the page, the design should follow (responsive design).
put the focus on the content (the design shouldn't disturb/distract the visitor).
