What are your best teaching/learning analogies?

Let me try one: Programmer: Anyone can become one. We all start as seeds. What we grow into depends on our environment and how much we nurture the learning. SoloLearn has great soil. The activities are like the sunlight. The effort we put in is like the water. There are lots of strong plants here that thrive. Not the best, but I hope it conveys a message. What analogies do you have? Any for compiler? C++? Loops? Constructors? We all grow stronger from each other. The more we know, the stronger we grow.
