Hi Mark If you are about to start coding then focusing on basic maths will be enough (add, subtract, multiply, division) After that it depends on what field you choose like for Data Science you should have some ideas on statistics, linear algebra etc One thread with similar question is attached for reference https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/2663643/?ref=app

Mathematics is indeed important for learning programming, including Python. While you don't need to be a mathematics expert, having a basic understanding of concepts such as arithmetic, algebra, and logic can be very beneficial. In programming, you'll often encounter mathematical operations and problem-solving scenarios where mathematical concepts come into play. That said, the level of mathematics required can vary depending on the specific area of programming you're interested in. For example, if you're working on data analysis or machine learning in Python, you may encounter more advanced mathematical concepts such as statistics, linear algebra, and calculus. However, for many other areas of programming, basic arithmetic and problem-solving skills are often sufficient. As a Biology student, you may find that certain areas of programming, such as bioinformatics or computational biology, require more mathematical knowledge than others. However, there are also many areas of programming where you can focus o
