What's up with the hearts?

So... We have 5 hearts with the recent update, which also refill in 5 hours. They seem to refill one euch 5 hours though. Is that intentional? O.o

I think that is intentional since it is the same with me. If your really unsure try resetting the app, if its the same then it's definitely intentional

I just got the app, so I don’t know what it used to be like, but it seems like an intentional design choice to me. It looks gamified in a way similar to Duolingo.
