No Sound effects in mobile AND desktop app?

I installed this app for the first time and it doesn't have any sound effects?

I have the sound effects turned on in the settings and my phone is not on mute (I can hear any other apps without issue).

Is it supposed to be that way? I would expect that when I answer the lessons correctly, when it says "correct" a DING sound should play, but I hear nothing which makes it not as exciting.

Not even in my browser I hear sounds for this app, what's going on?

By default the app is not having any sound effect.
