Autocorrect on/off?

@Sololearn: “Is it maybe possible for you to make a button, that switches on or off AndroidOS/iOS autocorrect in the Sololearn app?” At least whilst learning, practicing and coding! It’s costing me a lot of time and hearts!!⏳💔😔 (Despite my “sausuge fingers”, I’ve hardly ever liked autocorrect.)

You could try using a different keyboard. I mainly use the Gboard keyboard on Android which has quite a few settings that you can tweak 👍 Suggestions should be emailed to the Sololearn team at info@sololearn.com

Thanks! I have also installed the Gboard after Keith's answer. And it seems to be working well!

You can switch on/off autocorrect on your keyboard because it is the work of the keyboard to correct mistakes.

Bas , Autocorrect is a local setting at your end, not in Sololearn. I have an Android phone that came with Gboard (Google virtual keyboard) installed. The first thing I did was go into Gboard settings and disable autocorrect so it didn't change print to Print, etc I still let it give me suggestions, but they don't do anything unless I tap them. One thing that still bugs me about Gboard is that it automatically changes the keyboard layout depending on the context of where I"m typing, and when I'm in the Sololearn Code Playground, it hides the comma ',' key. I don't know if that's Gboard's fault for not recognizing it's in a code editor or Sololean's fault for not telling it it's in a code editor. I might eventually look for a virtual keyboard that allows me to configure every key.
