who codes the ai? who maintains the ai? who advances ai? who checks on ai? that person would need to know coding, right?

As of now, it matches the average programmer but can't self-improve despite scanning the entire internet. If you can read and comprehend a book, you're on par with AI in programming. If you understand code and are creative, you surpass AI. Many use AI for quick coding, but when it fails, they call it bad. If you can code and AI fails, you can guide it. Learning to code is valuable. Besides, No-code and low-code have been around before AI, but have not replaced coding. AI is just another tool.

🌀 Shail Murtaza شعیل مرتضیٰ We're talking about programmers here. Yes, there might be some impact, but it doesn't mean that programmers will be completely replaced. AI do the task fastly that's it and we can never compare human brain to AI and btw programmers made AI that means we can also destroy AI if we are trapped in danger. Hope you understood what I mean to say.

AI makes mistakes.ESPECIALLY in coding. Of course it can provide some generall starting layouts in front-end but for diving deeper in the project, especially in Javascript,it makes mistakes. And who can solve this mistakes? Right! We do! Recently I read a quote from a Sololearn worker: "AI won't replace you, a developer WITH AI will" I hope you all understand what I am trying to say 😅

Sakshi just like robotics replaced many workers in factory. That didn't need any intelligence so that could be automated easily. But AI has intelligence. And it is getting better and better.

The only thing that really intrique well is to develop an AI that has own consciousness

If you combine your coding skills with the help of AI ,you become a pro. we shouldn't see AI as a threat but aside personal assistant or helper

AI will undoubtedly revolutionize coding by automating routine tasks and offering powerful tools for development, human programmers will continue to be essential for complex problem-solving, creative thinking, and ensuring that the technology aligns with human needs and values.

Sakshi It looks like you didn't read that properly. When I said programmers will be replaced completely? You asked how can programmers be replaced and I just told you with example how that can happen. I'm also talking about impact of AI on programmers. Anyway, today's AI is at very early stage. just wait few years. Many programmers will lost their jobs just like thousands of workers lost their jobs at factories. We shouldn't always look at positive side. Because everything has negative side too. So we should be prepared for it instead of saying it is not possible.
