Do i really need to learn PHP before MySql

I have learnt HTML, CSS and Javascript. I've started node.js and I'm almost done but then i need to learn a database management language like mysql. But do i need to learn PHP before mysql??? And why???

I’m a data engineer. You do not need to learn php before mysql. It’d be helpful but its not a requirement
