once u start using one, you can get used to it. I know atom is good and free but I'm hooked on sublime text. plus I know many shortcuts that make my life easier. bottom line, all depends on your preferences. in my opinion : 1. Sublime text 2. Atom 3. Brackets.... oh if you're new, try notepad for a while. it will make you remember stuff. and maybe irritate you in the process. but it's worth it

Brackets \ Sublime as editior, FF developer Edition as browser(maybe chrome...)
