ρү૨œdԌ૨ × Why did you assume for Android? They just said app and they have Python tag. You can make web apps with Python on the back end. Also, Java isn't the preferred language for Android Dev. Since 2019, Google wants us using Kotlin to make Android Apps. So even though it may "boil down" to Java, doesn't mean they have to use it. All code technically boils down to binary, doesn't mean we use it. You can also use Dart for Flutter which is Cross Platform as well as Swift for iOS.

I do not use python as my backend language for websites I use PHP. Same as I wouldnt use C or Rust or something in an android app which will eventually compile through Java anyways.

Java. All Android apps use Java language at some point to boil down to an .apk file which is a Java format. Java is object oriented programming and as far as Ive seen it can be very extensive, in a good way. Ive seen a ton of great Java software like with Oracle, which is a company who makes Java based software.

Justice why pick apart my answer and not answer their question your own way? I imagined mobile apps when I read their question. Also for desktop computer I believe its bad form to call an application an app. Since the term 'app' was introduced at the time of smart phones and has no founding in traditional computers. Perhaps you see why I jumped to say Java? Lastly I am aware that any language can be used in android development. I hinted at how Java is a good base to start for mobile development.

Michael J Wentworth This is not a dating app, this is a learning platform. The OP does not have to respond to your messages and posting an answer that has nothing to do with the question is against the forum rules. Please don't jump to conclusions just because someone no longer wants to share in conversation when this is a learning platform anyway. The OP having a nice pfp is not an invitation for love confessions. Download a dating app if you're looking to fall in love with someone's appearance.
