Question about starting out and career opportunities

Hello, I'm an IT graduate and I really disliked programming, I was told to get into this field because the market is on need and I was a bit curious about the field, however I soon realized programming wasn't for me, I preferred graphic design and stuff like that, however I decided that I want to step over my hesitation to learn programming more and started learning here, I would like to ask the more experienced and established developers out there how to approach this, which languages are most recommended for covering the most Job Opportunities while not being too overwhelming and building a strong foundation for my future. I was taught a bit of everything but on a surface level and now I'm also in the Job Hunting process. My personal interests are Psychology, Design, Graphics and such. I would also like to ask about Career paths and such. Thanks.

First things first: don't stay at a field you dislike. Keep in mind that you'll likely work in it for a long time. Working in a job you dislike is a recipe for depression. That being said: an interest in psychology, design and graphics screams UX. Pure UX-Designers usually don't code much beside creating mock-ups for usability studies. (I don't know why this question gets downvoted. IMO this is a valid topic)

Hello, Yes I have studied Graphics Design but had a tough time finding any Job so I mostly do it as a hobby, I'm still curious about programming as a challenge to learn something and decided to pick up JavaScript as it seems to be in popular demand. I'm not too much into advanced math so Python was a bit out of the picture for now.
