Is it advisable for a beginner to start learning with HTML? if not which?

Well as @Steyn said, if you wanna make websites then Yes.. I started everyrhing on HTML.. then CSS and Javascript(which is a PROGRAMMING, and object oriented language)..

If your purpose is not making websites, then learn programming logic before learning any language. It will the base for ANY language you want to learn.
