how do challenges work?

i don't know what a challenge it is and how they work :(

Oh. Means.. You are on PC (web)version. Not in mobile.
You can't find challenges in Web version..

Open community section.
scroll down, Tap on start a challenge,
Select your language and opponent..
give Answers to questions 5..

After opponent answered, you can see result.

use search bar for more details...

When you open app, you can see Learn, Community, Code, Discuss, Profile sections buttons at buttom..
Tap on Community => Practice => Start a code Challenge

the only things i see are courses, code playground, discuss, top learners, blog, and profile.
