(Poll): How do you set up your Dev environment?

I've been curious, because I recently started setting up a Dev environment for a friend of mine, how do you guys set up your own environments?

I have a portable, lightweight comp (UNI) with a USB desktop keyboard wherever I go because the I prefer the old clacking sound. A chargeable, wireless USB mouse. Then I have personal comps in Lab3, Lab5 at third floor SoCS, USM. Most of the projects I do there are open-sourced, so everyone gets access to my files. For important stuff, it's always on my UNI, or - the weird thing is - I store high priority codes online, with parts of them separated in several different emails. When it comes to music, SoundCloud. :>

I particularly use a external hard drive that I hold my folders on. I have a separate folder for Linux, Ubuntu, UNIX, and Windows, in each folder I carry folders of projects I've done or am doing for each, and batch files that make my life easier when programming. I usually have the Atom text editor in the root of each Platform folder so I can get it up whenever I need, and whenever I need to do something like move files or copy them, delete, etc. I use the command prompt entirely. I don't like using a file explorer or anything like that. And that's usually my environment, along with Dubstep in the background and a anime wallpaper. 😂

@Very Hard: if that's the environment you like to program in, then yes you understand. Speaking of which, in Atom, I made a package that includes Ui, theme, and code snippets that I commonly use. Helps when you are reusing code.

That's creepy, mine is basically the same except I listen to hard rock and the anime posters were too distracting
