Java is a programming language so I guess you can learn Java. However, Java has similar syntax to other languages so you could learn other language too like Lisp, Smalltalk and C++.

A more positive way to view things is that java is an OOP language. So you can use some of the thinking, methodology and processes from Java with other OOP languages.

I learned Java basics and finished the Sololearn Java course. .. and stayed away from it ever since... it was not my cup of tea. It is not an easy language.
