Wechel Kennyson Marbaniang I am also a student so I am not the one who can guide you well. It doesn't matter which programming language you choose as first, learning 2nd language is always easier than learning 1st. I was saying that because with python you can not understand the basic fundamental concepts like data-types, memory allocation, size of different data-types, oops concept, compiler, interpreter, main function. But if you have knowledge of all these basic then you can also go with python as first language. If you're also a student and have a programming as a part of your academic then I would advice you to learn what your teacher is teaching. And python is too easy to learn and have use in every area(mobile app, webapp, machine learning, ai, etc.) after learning python you will think that "why should I learn another language if I can do all things with python" [PART-1]

Wechel Kennyson Marbaniang Python should not be your first language. Go with C then move to c++. Now you know about fundamental of programming. Now you can learn programming languages based on your interest like kotlin/Java - for Android development, swift- for iOS apps development, python -for webapp, machine learning, AI Then start making projects and look for jobs

I also started with python there is nothing wrong in that but I have the mindset that I also have to learn other programming languages which is harder to learn than current one. There is nothing like perfect programming language, every language has their advantages and disadvantages. But why I am talking about learning other programming language? You should not never stick to one programming language or technology. You must be ready to accept the changing world of technology. And in job sector, the company you are joining doesn't care about the language you know, they teach you the technology they are using. You should be good in Data Structure and algorithms to get a good job. Read this blog too: https://dev.to/tiagorr/why-i-think-python-is-not-the-best-starting-language-a0a [PART-2]
