C++ or Java?

Hi I have been learning C++ for about a month or more but some of my friends say Java is more useful and it's easier to use and it's more capable of doing complicated things. So I am confused.which one do I learn?

@Leaky Egg when you install Java, it tries to bundle in ask.com toolbar. It's not mandatory, but enough people miss it that most who have Java have the toolbar.

@Leaky Egg Sure it's common for software to bundle other unwanted software for money, but when a programming language does it, it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I'd abandon Python if they tried that, but that's just me.

C++ is WAY more useful and complicated. Java is easier though. Use Java if you want ask.com toolbar :^]

I have learnt both C++ and java and I found C++ to be way easier as well as more applicable in most situations. It's easy to learn one if you know the other. I learnt Java first fyi. It's all about which syntax you are comfortable with.

I see. I find most things try to slip in software on ya these days, not just Java. My dad got a program once that was a bitch to remove. only way it would let me click uninstall was the accept other shit to be installed. had to do things the long way and give him ANOTHER talk about not clicking on things just because an ad tells him to. Even the driver disc for my MSI mobo tried to slip me Norton
