R is mostly mathematical based, while python is more general purpose. For that reason I would say that python is more powerful than R all round

Hi jully, Actually I really don't know what's the correct answer for this! So, I have searched your question at google so I got this- R is developed for data analysis; hence it has more powerful statistical packages. Python's statistical packages are less powerful. R is slower than python but not much. Python is faster. More on: https://www.educba.com/r-vs-python/ Happy Learning 🙂

R is used for Machine learning and Data Science while python used for general purposes, Its depends on you that for what purpose you want to use, Python has more features than R that make its powerful, If you want to use as general purpose then you can go with python, and if you want to use for data science or Ml in deep you can go with R, because R have built-in functions for data science and ML that make easy to code you while python requires to download the libraries for specific requirements of ML and Data science.
