They both are very different from each other and they both have different uses.

Html is an essential part of front end which is used to make the content of a webpage.

Python is just a programming language which have data structures and algorithms etc.

All languages are useful and important in different different fields, like HTML is root of web development....we can not say that this particular language is so important and useful.

well If you're interested in web development you can choose Html
or
Python on the other hand, you can do data analysis, machine learning, software development,..and more, including web development,but at the end of the day you have to learn Html and css anyway

Both are important. Choose one or both, based on your requirement !
