does anyone have any resources for learning about matrix structured code?

This would be code where each element of the matrix contains code. The code interacts with neighboring matrix elements to receive or output data as it executes. My web search yielded a couple of results, but they seemed theoretical. Maybe there is another term for this kind of code?

From a practical perspective, this is a description of spreadsheet programming. Maybe look for courses on how to program Microsoft Excel. Or maybe you are looking to learn about finite-state automata.

Thank you Brian. I looked into spreadsheet programming, and it seems to be the correct direction. It looks like maybe CoreCalc or Forms/3 might offer more flexibility for what my concept is. I wouldn't have come across them without your help.
