Hi Kar! This is a very subjective question that cannot be answered. It completely depends on how much time you have, how often you code and the way you learn. With that said, learning an entire language is almost impossible, you can only learn so much! That doesn't mean you can't learn a lot about it. To give you an extremely rough estimate, to possibly give you an idea, it may take you anywhere between 1-3 months to get a nice grip on the language and potentially it's standard library. After a year of constantly going at it, you should be quite competent to write software, given that you've explored general programming techniques and concepts as well (eg. data structures). As I mentioned, it is completely subjective and it all depends on you. Good luck with your learning and have fun, hopefully I helped answer your question.

If your free and a fast learner, let's say about 2-months while the opposite of these, the least you can master it is in 1year.

It depends on how much you want to learn. Just basic or advanced? It's very vast subject and learning depends on your ability to grasp and how much you practice it. Just keep learning!!

You need to know that Java have a really big amount of clases and modules, lear everything will take a lot of time even if you are a kind of genius... Try to be focus on what you want to do, or in what is more easily to achieve... But always remember, nothing is impossible.
