Is it fine to make the jump from C++ to Python ?

I am a software engineer and wanted to perfect my skills in a certain set of languages mainly aimed at app development ( C, C++ , JAVA, PYTHON ) . Ive been adviced to perfect myself completely in one particular language and then move to the next that will be good for adapting easily. Because i already am a student and have enough beginners knowledge in c , java etc is it fine I jump to Python and completely perfect that because its also the trend in app development alongside java ??

sure. python will be pretty easy in comparison. you could also use your C(++? I'm not sure how similar C and C++ are) knowledge to use cython, making python faster.
