Which is better ? Emacs or Vi?

Which is better among the two?

emacs seems to have a lower learning curve but vi seems to be more robust with more or better features. that being said I usually just use nano for basic script coding. it just feels lighter to me than emacs or vi(m)

You should choose the one YOU like more.
For HTML and CSS I can recommend Brackets.
