Developer or Tester?

Hey Industry experts , Can someone please breif me about the pros and cons of being a developer(SDE) or being a tester(QAE).Which side has more growth professinaly?

Testing can be done by just simple users which they can report bugs that they may encounter. Developers are the best as they are ones who developed it and they can also test their creation. Choose to be a developer.
