Tips for keeping motivated

I'm learning python but I've always got to a point in my knowledge where coding is just too challenging to keep going and dropped learning due to lack of motivation. How can I keep motivated so that I reach that"eureka" moment and keep going forever?

Simply ask for help, if you got stuck. You can learn from the one who helps you, receive a feedback and improve your skills, all at once. Keep going, dude!

I started learning Python by attending a MOOC at Coursera, which I strongly recommend. It's called Python for Everybody, by dr. Charles Severance (dr. Chuck ;) The guy is a motivational bomber and you can't be bored with him. And the course is structured in such a way, that you keep being motivated enough to accomplish consecutive mini-projects. That, in turn, fuels you with satisfaction and you just can't wait for the next lesson :) One note, though - it's run in Python 2.x, not 3.x - just so you don't get confused.

Get a programming buddy if you can. You don't necessarily have to work on the same projects though that would be nice. Just someone you could bounce off ideas and learn stuff from. Get a lot of different apps to help learning: In addition to Sololearn, I use enki, CodeMonk, StackExchange. Build apps don't just read code from a text book, there is a whole lot more to developing real software than just coding.
