Do any of these courses teach you about using the cmd.exe?

I read it’s called dos, or powershell in newer versions. I dont believe i saw any of those in the courses, unless its just a sort of mash up of several. The main reason i’m learning coding is bc i just got completely and utterly hacked very recently, and i’d like to know how to put extra safeguards in place and be able to kick them off myself if they somehow manage to get through without deleting my entire life again.

Learn PowerShell instead then, cmd is strictly Windows tool. I read somewhere that PowerShell looks forward to also work in other O/Ses.

well, that’s shitty. i just gotta keep googling different commands and learn thru trial and error? i know you can use jquery on it and i saw that on here. so im guessing its just a mashup of sorts.

Are you talking about Windows command line interpreter? try entering help <command> in the prompt, normally a brief usage info comes up. Installing an antivirus program may help you safeguard against possible threats. I'd prefer that over learning cmd, PowerShell is a whole different topic though.

ive done the <command>, ive done normal c:help and i’ve googled hundreds of commands and used the c:<command>;/ on them to see what they do. ive learned a lot of different commands, but havent actually ‘learned’ anything about how it operates, and i need a reference to do most anything. i’m definitely downloading some awesome firewall, antimalware/antikeylogger etc, but i’d still like to have the knowledge on hand.

alright, i’ll start there. It just doesn’t seem reasonable to have something you just “can’t learn.”
