Can I use HTML instead of XML?

Is there any other programming language for app design? Which is best?

Hi, Considering XML or HTML as programming languages wouldn't be right.
And about using HTML instead of XML:- HTML is used to put content on our web, whereas XML is used as a Schema for our HTML, but in my opinion you could just use HTML5 tags and it would be fine.

For data parsing we use json or xml .json is used with swift language.But if yoi want to create android app google uses xml with java to stucture data and building app.
