Web development

Hello guys, please I do have a question, I'm a computer science student, and in school we studied python and c++. I want to focus on web development. Is it necessary to get a certificate from school or I can learn that just on my own ?

It depends on your motivation and what the schools offer. I'd make sure you know HTML5 and CSS3. A Javascript framework like Angular, React, Vue. Bootstrap for styling. If you want to create web applications then Asp.Net Core is a good one. Look into cloud providers such as Azure, AWS or GCP. That's a good start and will give you lots of the skills you will need. Hope it helps.

Certificate is not needed for programming, it can help but from what I know companies don't really care how you learned to code, what they care about is how good you learned to code, and a portofolio with some nice projects where they could read your code and see your skills is better and more important than a stupid paper.
