If you are creative in design then ,web development is simple to you.. If you are problem solvable, logical thinker then programming (java, c,..) becomes interest. Before all , just learn basics from these languages ,after you get idea about those to follow by which path , yourself.. Hope it helps...

With just core Java you can build only standalone applications and there is nothing much you can do. For web applications you must learn advanced Java such as servlet, JSP, JSTL and so on. You must know basic HTML and CSS.

The other way is probably HTML, CSS and JavaScript to achieve the same with the help of couple of frameworks.

Make one thing clear whether you want work with front end or back end and then follow accordingly.
