Why in the HTML course JS is included ?

I am doing the HTML course . iI am pretty good at HTML and CSS so i am doing this for fun. The thing that kind of annoy me is why do they include JS syntaxes in the HTML course ? That get many people confused !!! I do not have problem with it actually but what about those who are totally new to HTML ?

Yeah. Those WebStorage, Canvas and Geolocation tutorials should move to JavaScript

I know , but the thing i mean is that . Now that i am not so new to HTML and i already know JS . Having some JS infront of me will not confuse me . I have been there myself when i started whenever i saw a line of code i kept checking it for ages thinking its so important . So if a person who does not have any idea about coding gets those fundementals that way then that cause them lot of headaches
