English "English" and American "English"

Obviously there are words spelled differently in the UK compared to the states. What I have noticed when I am coding python accepts the UK spelling 'colour' as opposed to 'color'. I failed a question in sololearn challenge because I couldn't fit 'colour' in and timed out before I could change it. I haven't installed python and pycharm on my laptop as I am waiting a replacement but can I choose English (UK) language settings and if so will that be default if pre-installed in the os of a laptop purchased in the UK?

You can't change the default language from US Spelling to UK's. I use Windows so I don't know for other OS versions.

Most, if not all the coding languages uses the US spellings and the spellings matter… "color" isn't "coluor"

Thanks guys, it's colour not coluor but it doesn't matter in python as it would only accept 'color'. Thank you people 👌👌👌👌
