FASTA FILES C++

Hello! I would like to know if there is anyone with experience using FASTA FILES. I got an assignment to read protein sequences froM a FASTA FILE. My code so far is reading in the header as a separate array. In addition, I would liKe to know how to compare the proteins using their weightS. I would appreciate the help very much!
