Learning computer science in the same order as we made it

I was wondering a couple of things about a way to learn computer science: learning things in the same order as we built it. for example, first learn the Von Neumann model, then assembly (e.g. with nasm), then something like Fortran or Lisp, and so on. My questions are: do you know whether it already exists, whether it has a name, and whether it would be a good thing to do that ? Because I think that someone who knows well how computer are made, must know this kind of things.
