I need help with c++

Question

I'm a beginner in programming( I started around 3 or 4 months ago and have been having a routine of spending 10 minutes each day learning about programming). I know that I haven't really put much effort but I have so much trouble understanding c and c++. They just seem so foreign and complicated. And since I'm not a computer science student I don't really understand for instance what " general purpose programming language" means and a lot of other stuff. I know beginner level html( and css), python and have started to learn basic java and ruby recently but none of them get to be as hard as c++ or c. And since I'm fully aware just how important it is to know c or c++ and javascript, it makes me feel really bad and sometimes makes me wanna quit. I just dunno if I'm going in the right direction and if there is a way that I can understand c++ and c a bit more.
