Yes, the basic Js used widely inorder to develop the web application..when can we say it as progressive, when there is a huge number of ppl using it.

I'm not sure. But most of the browser support javascript ( it's called "ECMA script" actually ). So we use it at the web.

JavaScript has a complete monopoly on client side web programming so its really the only choice people have. And as such its being developed into a lot of things by a lot of people to do basically everything that includes the web and is being extended to far more than just the web. So its got a pretty far reach as a programming language and it keeps going farther
