Php/JavaScript event

Hi guys
Like many social media apps i want to create a chat app but web version and i am looking for an event or a script that when the message or the chat gets on the screen that message get tagged as seen message .
Is it possible? If not what would u suggest?

i think what u are saying is functions of the chat app (which i already wrote most of it), not exactly what i need 😔
