Whats the best program to use as a fresh beginner?

I dabbled in HTML and went to HTML5 but is that a good place to start?

Start with html and CSS. Then java script. And if thats fun, what ever you wont to. Java, c #, Python or php is not important. Every one of them are good to code with , dont listen to the diskussion which one is best, they are equally good to a beginner, C++ is if your really hardcore.

HTML is not actually a programming language, it's just the markup language. If you are working with web technologies and specially front-end then you should learn HTML and CSS and then move on to learn JavaScript. But if you want to learn an actual programming language then start with python. From python then you can move to any other language with little efforts.
