Problems running xammp

Question

When i try to run apache or mysql i get this system error
"The program cant start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-(1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer .try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

The error is caused due to KB2999226 failed to install, so for that manually download KB2999226 file or update it from windows website.

Other error can be because as Sami Khan mentioned Microsoft Visual C++ redistributed version 2015.
1) so for that uninstall the corrupted or old version of Visual C++ redistributed version 2015.
2) now go to windows update and check for updates and update till you get the green check mark of windows is up to date
3) now go to latest version of Visual C++ redistributed version 2015. From the official website if you have 32 bit windows down load x86 and if it's 64 bit then download x64
3) now install that downloaded and updated Visual C++ redistributed version 2015.

These will fix your errors.

32 bit or 64 bit system??
Well look for it.. and see in control panel > ' Add / Remove Programs'. In there check for Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 (32-bit / 64-bit) if it is not installed.. then try to see if there is any windows update required..
