What kind of language is Python?

Is Python purely OOP? I'm asking because it can also be used in scripting and lots of other things.

Python is sometimes referred to as a scripting language because mostly its used to write scripts in projects ofc. And you can do well in networking with Python too. Python is a very nice language to start with as a bigginer because of its simplicity and efficiency. Python is dynamic language, it is designed to amplify programmer's efficiency. Though in terms of speed Python is a lot behind to static languages languages like Java and C++. You can start with Python. But I prefer you to learn at least a static language. Python may develop some bad programing habits in you that will produce problems in switching to other languages (especially static ones) that's why I prefer you to learn a static language as well as Python. ^_^
