To use align attribute do i have to call any class first?

i tried using align attribute directly inside paragraph start tag its not working

vertical-align ? text-align ? align-items ? align-content ? other align ?

hows the code looks like ? both html and css. just the snippet of the code is enough as long as its relevant, you dont need to show the full code if you dont want to
