My Macbook is older, so I find it helps to run/test my apps on physical devices vs emulation, I keep a tablet and cheap phones on hand

You have to increase your ram to 8gb because virtual emulater works well in 8gb.

Based on some Android tutorials, 2.2Gb ram is absolute minimum, but 4Gb is recommended, to install Android Studio.

Though your processor is a bit old,I think it can handle android studio. It can also run an emulator. Note:This 1st gen processor supports only upto 8gb memory.

_rk yea I just knew that when I went to buy the extra Rams, he told me it's only upto 8,4 each , no 8 in a single RAM, well i tried Android studio, and it actually ran the emulator with only 4 gb of RAM but it wasn't smooth and slow, would the extra 4 RAM make a noticable difference?
